Zansot’s history began in 1972 in the trunk of a VW Beetle. The Beetle belonged to Zannis Sotiriou, who used it to store sea sponges, which he supplied to pharmacies. He then went on to lease a small storage space. Shortly thereafter, he leased a 250m2 warehouse and two years later, a 950m2 warehouse. This space housed the company’s headquarters for 38 consecutive years. The company bought their privately-owned premises in 2013,which cover a surface area of 3,850m2 within the Keratea Business Park.

Through the years our customers – having confidence in our quality – kept asking for an ever-wider variety of products. This inspired us initially to start selling hair items, and then to start producing them. The first plastic injection moulding machine was purchased from Germany in 1982. More machines were soon purchased, leading to the plant’s current production capacity of over 2 million pieces of hair items that come in a wide variety of designs and colours.
